THE MANAGEMENT BOARD
GHISLAINE UZARRALDE
Group CFO
It all started in Argentina. I started my career in finance with a large French retail group. Back in France and after a few years spent in the food industry, I joined the APEM group in 2013, as head of management control. 7 years later, I became the group's Financial Director.
All these years have also given me the opportunity to see the solidity of the group, both financially and in terms of people. APEM has a long history, with a long-term strategy. People feel good about it and the loyalty they show to the company is the best proof of this. This allows us to perpetuate and transmit skills. The company's know-how is constantly growing, which is a guarantee of its sustainability. To design and produce the human-machine interfaces of today and tomorrow, we need to master more and more technologies. That's why we continue to invest, in our fleet of machines, in R&D and in our workforce. Far from resting on the laurels of our past successes, we want more than anything to invest for the future.
We are a financially robust group but we are committed to controlling our costs, in order to guarantee our profitability, while offering our customers the best-performing HMIs at the best price.
THOMAS HENIN
Group Marketing Director
Over the course of my business Life, I have had the great pleasure of working for completely different companies in B2C & B2B on many continents, and being entrusted with various roles in sales, marketing, strategic & innovation management, and business unit leadership. Joining APEM in 2019 as Group Marketing Director, to support the company’s strategic choices, was for me a natural next step.
I see APEM as an industrial jewel. We are present worldwide, with multiple factories and R&D centers. We undeniably have strong technical capabilities and capacities, with a DNA prioritizing quality and long-term thinking that creates amazing value for our customers, personnel and shareholders.
But APEM is also more than that. We are able to maintain direction and consistency through good and bad times. In our culture of continuous improvement, and leveraging our strengths, we are already preparing for the future with further projects in innovation and digitalization. These projects aim to improve our product offering, service and response time to customers as well as increase our efficiency and competitiveness. We also take the opportunity to nurture our eco-friendly mindset, contributing to a sustainable society and the environment.
Following new routes, we are determined to continue our transformation to delight our customers and make the APEM brand the reference in the human-machine interface sector.
JIM COOPER
VP Sales Europe & APAC
I joined APEM 15 years ago, as part of the acquisition of Oliver Control Systems Ltd, a company I co-founded, manufacturing industrial joysticks. My history with joysticks goes back 30 years, starting in a former company that was the world leader in joysticks for wheelchair applications in the 1980s and 1990s. At the time we were a customer of APEM, using APEM switches in our joystick products, and of course I never imagined that some years later I would be responsible for all sales of APEM products outside the US!
Customers are at the heart of all we do at APEM. We strongly believe in having local technical sales and support for our products, speaking the local language when possible, and being present in the markets of our customers is a key differentiator for APEM. This is clear from the strong sales network we deploy with APEM technical sales offices in France, UK, Benelux, Italy, mainland China, USA, the Nordic & DACH regions and carefully chosen technical distributors in most other major countries where we do not have a direct APEM presence. The incorporation into the IDEC group has allowed us to expand this network even further with new local APEM people in APAC as well.
We work hard to ensure our products are readily available via numerous catalogue and internet-based, high-service distributors who provide ex-stock availability for initial design requirements to get customer’s projects moving as quickly as possible.
At our core, APEM is a component manufacturer, best known for our switches, but increasingly so for our joysticks and indicators. What sets APEM apart is the breadth of our portfolio, meaning we can increasingly offer numerous components for a customer’s front panel requirements and also entirely integrated panel solutions with a greater emphasis on communication protocols and electronics.
MARC ENJALBERT
Chairman & CEO
I joined the APEM group in 2004 and have been CEO since 2018. Since then, I have been working to make APEM a sustainable group. To achieve this goal, we are constantly transforming and evolving, in terms of structure, processes and tools. We have a solid footing in history but we are above all a group resolutely looking at the future.
APEM has been around for 70 years in the world on Human Machine Interface.
We are today one of the leaders in this field because year after year, our dedicated employees have made it happen. They are our main asset.
This heritage is translated into our core values, Harmony, Passion, Innovation, Integrity, Commitment, that drive our daily working environment.
My goal and the one of the management team is to carry on with this successful story by making sure that all the employees of the group work together as a team, in line with the strategy deployed, in a complex and fast changing business environment, towards providing always more value added to our customers and share holders.
