Handgrip Hall Effect
More robust than a mid-sized or thumb control joystick and developed with proportional control in mind, the handgrip joysticks are ideal for operation that requires precision in severe off-road and material handling environments. The handles are ergonomically suited for cabines armrest and one-handed use and allow multiple functions to be controlled in a small space thanks to the addition of many standard components designed on to the faceplate or handle.
The CJ Series joystick features an ergonomic multifunction handle purposely designed for safety critical hand-operated applications. Available as a one or two axis joystick, the CJ Series utilizes non-contacting Hall effect technology. The CJ Series features an industry common mounting cutout and hole pattern, allowing it to easily replace early generation third-party joysticks in existing OEM applications. The CJ Series is ideally suited for construction vehicles including cranes, loaders, and excavators.
The Fixed Grip™ FG Series controllers provide rugged, yet ergonomic operation for the most demanding applications. Custom configured to order, the FG Series may be equipped, for example, with a miniature thumb operated two axis joystick, index trigger guard, and USB interface. The FG Series controllers are ideal for off-road vehicles, marine, and military applications subject to high vibration.
The HJ Series joystick is a hand operated Hall effect controller designed for in-cab vehicle applications requiring proportional multi-axis positioning control. Available with several high-function handles and CAN bus J1939 and CANopen interfaces; typical applications include refuse handling trucks, snow removal and street cleaning vehicles.
The TH Series single axis throttles are a heavy duty friction clutch joystick delivering proportional control. Designed for prolonged use and durable enough to withstand rough operation, commonly used applications include material handling and mobile equipment. The TH single axis throttle utilizes non-contacting Hall effect technology. Configuration options include mechanical detents and electronic microswitches.
The XD Series joystick stands out with its minimal below-panel depth of just 60 mm, yet it is capable of resisting horizontal loads up to 400 lbf thanks to its sturdy all-metal construction. The joystick handle of the XD series boasts a uni-body construction with modular inserts that enhance design flexibility. These inserts include an index trigger switch, an operator presence paddle, and a customizable faceplate, ensuring IP67 environmental sealing above the panel, which guards against the ingress of dust and liquids.
Main features of the XD Series Hall Effect joystick:
- SIL 2 compatibility with redundant Hall sensors
- High axial load resistance (1780 N - 400 lbf)
- Shallow mounting depth of less than 60 mm (2.36 inches)
- CAN bus joystick functionality with SAE CAN bus J1939-71 and CAN Open LSS
- Joystick hall sensor rated for 10 million lifecycles
